Overview

Acus Health & Balance (“we,” “us,” or “the clinic”) respects your privacy. This policy describes how we handle information when you visit our website, contact us, or book appointments through linked services.

This website is an informational and scheduling gateway. Clinical intake, health history, and appointment records are handled through our secure booking platform (Noterro) and in-clinic processes, not through general website contact forms.

Information we collect

• Website contact inquiries — name, email and/or phone, preferred service, optional scheduling preference, and a general message you choose to send through our contact form.
• Technical data — standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) used for security, troubleshooting, and basic site performance. We do not use third-party advertising trackers on this site.
• Booking & clinical information — when you book through Noterro or visit the clinic, separate policies and consent processes apply to health-related information collected for care and billing.

How we use information

• Respond to general questions about services, hours, and location.
• Coordinate non-clinical scheduling requests when you contact us.
• Protect the website from abuse, spam, and unauthorized access.
• Improve site reliability and security.

Please do not submit symptoms, diagnoses, insurance details, or other sensitive health information through the website contact form. Use our secure booking intake or call the clinic instead.

How we protect information

• HTTPS encryption for website traffic in production.
• Security headers and input validation on contact submissions.
• Rate limiting and spam controls on public forms.
• Access limited to authorized clinic staff for responding to inquiries.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. We take reasonable steps to protect information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share data with service providers that help us operate the website or deliver email notifications (for example, hosting or transactional email), subject to contractual confidentiality obligations. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of patients, staff, or the public.

Retention

Website contact messages are retained only as long as needed to respond and for reasonable clinic record-keeping, then deleted or archived according to our internal policies. Clinical records follow separate retention rules.

Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of website contact information we hold, subject to legal and clinical record requirements. For privacy-related questions or requests, contact us:

• Email: acushealthbalanceclinic@gmail.com
• Phone: 289-489-7052
• Mail: 2 Tremont Dr, Pen Centre, St. Catharines, ON, L2T 3A9

Information on this website is for general educational purposes and is not a substitute for individualized medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Treatment suitability and expected outcomes vary by person.

Third-party links

Our site links to external services such as Noterro (booking) and Google Maps (location). Those services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them before submitting personal or health information.

Regulatory notice

We follow applicable Canadian privacy laws for our operations. We do not represent on this website that we are HIPAA- or PHIPA-certified; clinical compliance depends on our policies, staff training, and the secure systems we use for patient care. If you have concerns about health information handled during treatment, please speak with us directly.
